Ice Lake on Mars

I'm not a huge Mars nut, but this story seems pretty darn cool. Apparently, ESA's Mars Express orbiter has discovered a small lake of ice located in a crater in the Vastitas Borealis region of Mars:

Manned exploration and eventually commercial development of Mars may significantly lag the development of the Moon due to the much larger trip times, and inherent remoteness of the Red Planet. But news like this reminds me that while the idea of humanity becoming a two planet species seems crazy enough to most people now, when that finally occurs, it probably won't be much longer before it is a three-planet one.
