Space Prizes Aren't a Panacea...
...but they do have a rather impressive track record. Saw that list in a comments section on space prizes at SpacePolitics.com, once again thanks to our anonymous friend.

Dates on that list have to be taken with a grain of salt. Sure it would've been nice if the Ansari X Prize had taken place in 1995, but, alas, didn't happen.

The only innaccuracy in that entry was that it wasn't the "Ansari" X-Prize when it was announced in 1995. Other than that, they got all the other details right. I think it might be better to say, you know look up information about the other prizes listed and see what can be learned. Rather than picking minor nits like that.
