Return of Jonny Bloggin

Since I'm at home this morning with Jonny while Tiff goes to a checkup, and while the guys go out to play with hot flamey stuff, I figured it was time for some more Jonny Bloggin.

Here's some Haloween photos I forgot to upload last time. Here's Tiff and Baby James' costumes:

And Here's Jonny's costume:

This is Jonny right before getting his hair cut:

Here is one of him after the haircut:

Here's one of our few pictures that has the whole family in it:

And this is Jonny with his "What You Lookin at Foo?" look on his face....

Anyhow, things are going well for me and the family. I can't believe the baby is due next week! Things may get a little interesting when that happens....Stay tuned.

The Return of Jonny Bloggin (and James Bloggin Too!)

It's been a long while since I've put any family pictures up, and we had lots of good ones over the past several months that I figured I would share.

This first one is James and George (Pierce Nichols' little boy) at a birthday party for Jonny and James last December. Tiff got that big plastic tub, and filled it full of pinto beans for the kids to play with. I'm sure the Banks family is still finding beans hiding in their garage!

Jonny really likes the camera, and every time we try to take a picture of him doing something cute, he tries to get us to give him the camera. He's definitely a technophile.

This is Jonny, demonstrating that his Tool-Fu is strong.

James on the other hand takes after his mom--he's probably going to be a musician.

I've always been impressed though with Tiff's ability to improvise. Here's the "sled" she came up with for the boys so they could play in the snow.

Of course in this picture, with all the layers Tiff put on him, James looks like "Ralphie" from that movie "A Christmas Story".

Here's Jonny and James being GQ.

This was from Sunday. I'm glad Jonny and James get along so well. They're both a bunch of laughy-heads.

Especially James.

Some More Jonny Bloggin

Somebody decided to give Daddy a hint that he needed to download some pictures off the digital camera, and do some more Jonny Bloggin:

So here's a few of the latest.

This one wasn't staged. Unlike my parents, I don't intentionally get Jonny all tired on Saturday nights and then give him a big oversized plate full of pasta and get out the camera to watch...

Oh, and somebody put it into Jonny's mind that Daddy's are meant to be their personal means of conveyance...

More Jonny Bloggin'

I'm at home sick today, taking care of a little boy with a fever, who is now napping. So I figured now would be a good time to put up some of the pictures Tiff took during her month in Oregon with her family.

Jonny on the steps outside the Portland, Oregon LDS Temple. August 5th, 2006
This is Jonny on the steps outside of the Portland, Oregon LDS temple. That's where Tiff any I got married back on August 23, 2003. Tiff's little brother Steven was getting married there on the 5th.

Steve and his wife Carly are, of course, the ones in the foreground on the left. Behind them is Brady on the left (holding Liana), then Randy in the maroon shirt. To the right of Steve and Carly on the front row are Tiff's parents, Dan and Sue Cragun. Sue is holding Naomi. Behind them are Naomi and Liana's parents, Michael and Rosie, with Rosie holding their youngest, Rebeckah. Rosie is from Cagayan de Oro, Philippines. To the right of Tiff's parents is Tiff's grandma Margaret, holding Jonny. Then there's my Tiffy to her right. Behind Tiff and grandma Margaret are David and Jenny holding their boy Caleb. And on the far right are James and Nikki. James and Nikki got married in the same place on the 26th, while I was up there. Well, that's the Cragun clan.

This is another picture of Tiff's youngest brother, Brady. I think the gal he's with is one of Carly's sisters, there at Steve and Carly's reception. Anyone guess which side of the family Jonny got his curls from?

This is Jonny being a non-conformist.

Tiff's Dad works at the local newspaper, the Register-Guard. Their family is way into crossword puzzles. Michael and his family are probably in Cuba now. He works for the state department as an embassy worker of some sort. They're going to be working in our un-embassy embassy thingie there in Havana for the next two years. They were in DC for training for most of this year, and the whole news about Castro going to the hospital hit while they were driving cross-country from DC to Oregon. I told Michael "may you live in interesting times." I'm not sure if he appreciated my sense of humor.

This is one silly little boy doing his own dance move. He loves dancing, any time there's music. Now that he's home, he's gained a taste for Creedence Clearwater Revival...can't blame him.

Jonny on the Tramp with David and Naomi. Jonny misses playing with his three cousins. It's a lot quieter around here.

Here's the dunes at a lake near the ocean just south of Florrence, Oregon. The drive down was beautiful, and the weather was somewhere around 60 degrees. One of these days we need to get a rocket company up in Oregon so I can live somewhere that I like while still being able to play with hot flamey stuff. Knowing my luck though, if there were a rocket company in Oregon, it'd be out in Bend or in the eastern desert area.

Kids grow up so fast these days...

Some Jonny Bloggin

I was at home from church with a little boy who's had the barfy's and the diarrhea-ys for the past day or two. He's doing a bit better, but we still figured it was probably a good idea not to have him go spread his germs with all of the other Nursery kids in our Ward. Nothing like a little work induced sleep deprivation topped with another layer of sick-little-boy induced sleep deprivation. Anyhow, I have a picture or two of little Jonny, and figured it'd be worth doing a little bit of Jonny Bloggin:

Jonny Bloggin'

I'm sorry to bump Ken's post off the top of the list so soon, but I realized I hadn't done any Jonny Bloggin' recently. Some of these pictures are a little bit older, since we hadn't downloaded pictures from our camera in a while, but I figured better late than never.

Return of the Jonny Bloggin'

Ok, I was chatting with Michael about the fact that I haven't been blogging very much lately due to time constraints, and he reminded me of the fact that I haven't done any Jonny Bloggin' lately. So, here's your latest installment of the silly antics of a very cute little boy:

So, if you guys think that my blogging has gotten a little juvenile lately...it er...wasn't me....

Jonny Bloggin' : Blocks Edition

Jonny loves cars, trucks, and trains...

Jonny also loves his blocks...

And, just in case you might have thought that there was any hope for this boy...

What does James think of all this?

Jimmy Bloggin

Just in case you guys have been wondering why blogging has been so "light" over the past several weeks...

Last night, my wife Tiffany gave birth to our third little boy, James Henry Goff, at 8:42pm. With our past experience with premature delivery, we were surprised to find ourselves still waiting almost a week after his due date for James to make his cameo. When we went down for our checkup yesterday, we found that Tiffany was already dilated 2/3rds of the way in spite of not having had hardly any painful contractions. We decided it would be better to induce while we were actually down in Bakersfield, instead of risking her dilating even further and then going into labor before we could reach the hospital.

Fortunately we had packed all of our bags and left Jonny with a babysitter, so we ended up checking in to the hospital around 5:30pm after getting some dinner. Our doctor came and ruptured Tiff's membrane around 6:10 to see if it would induce labor without needing to use a drug like Petosin. Tiff went into labor almost immediately, and within just over two and a half hours, we had ourselves another "little" boy. We found out though that 41 week babies seem to come in slightly bigger sizes than the 34 week ones...

James tipped the scales at 9lb 2oz (literally twice as heavy as Jonny was when he was born), and 21 inches long. I'm really surprised that Tiff was able to sing a solo in church two weeks ago with a kiddo that size taking up all her lung space. He's got long dark hair, and a cute little baby face.

As you can see from this next picture, his lungs were also fully functional...

So far he's mostly been interested in eating, sleeping, dreaming of eating, making stinky messes, and being extraordinarily cute.

The nurses and doctors there at Mercy Southwest Hospital there in Bakersfield were great, and we were back on the road home less than a day from when we were admitted. Tiff's a little worse for the wear, but doing much better now.

The interesting thing is that James is as big as Jonny was when he was 6 or 8 months old. He's about the right size for me to hold in my lap while blogging. I'm sure I'll get a chance to "multitask" a bit in the near future.

When we got back to Tehachapi this afternoon (in the middle of a snowstorm), we picked Jonny up from the babysitters. He was really excited to see his little brother, and was even capable of being gentle with him! Apparently he saves his rough-housing for his Daddy.

Apparently Jonny didn't sleep very well yesterday (and didn't take any naps). So he ended up falling asleep at the tray, so to speak, while eating some Macaroni and Cheese.

Unfortunately he woke up while we were cleaning him off, and refused to go back to sleep. I was totally confused how he could be so full of energy so late at night, until Tiff pointed out that it was actually still barely 8pm. I was surprised because I could've sworn it was nearly midnight. So right now we're up with him wearing him out so he'll go to sleep. That and going through our pictures finding the cutest ones of James to post. We kind of liked this one of James dancing a little jig in his sleep:

So, seeing as how he was born on Boxing Day, does this mean he might end up being a pugilist?
